How to pay your rent

There are many ways you can pay your rent. You can choose any of the methods below, according to which suits you best.

Direct Debit

We currently offer the following collection dates each month: 1st   7th   15th

A Direct Debit Mandate form will need to be completed and returned to South Northants Homes.

The Direct Debit for most tenants will be set based on four weeks every month (making 48 rent weeks for the year).
We will notify you of any changes to the amount to be collected and amend it when your rent amount changes.

It may take up to six weeks to set up your direct debit, therefore you must ensure that you make payments in the interim to avoid getting into rent arrears.

Automated telephone payment line

You can pay using debit or credit cards by calling 0845 3039492 available 24 hours a day (excluding American Express or Diner Cards).  You will be asked to respond to a series of questions and once payment has been made, you will be given a payment reference for your records.
You will need your 13 digit tenancy reference number, which can be found on your rent statement, and card details to hand when you call.

Online

You can pay on the internet by going to www.santanderbillpayment.co.uk  and using one of the following cards. Read more details about online payments.

 Rent Payment Card

Your rent payment swipe card can be used at all Post Offices or anywhere displaying the Payzone logo, across the UK.  The card will cost you nothing and is a convenient way to pay your charges to us.
You will need a seperate card for each account you have with SNH, so you will have more than one card if you also have the Lifeline service, or rent a garage.
Post Offices accept payment by cash, cheque (made payable to Post Offices Ltd) or debit card, at no charge to you.  Payzone outlets may make a small transaction charge for accepting cheque or debit card payments. 

Standing Order

To pay by standing order  you'll need to fill out a  Standing Order Instruction and return it to your bank to be actioned (remember to amend it when your rent amount changes).

Home banking

If you have internet access you can set up home banking through your bank's website and regular transfers can then be made to us using the bank details below:

Chip and Pin facilities

You can come into our SNH offices during our opening hours and pay by debit or credit card, using the Chip and Pin machine located at our reception desk.

By post

You can pay with a cheque or postal order, made payable to South Northants Homes (writing your tenancy reference number on the back) to our offices at Wood Burcote House, Burcote Road, Towcester, Northants, NN12 6TF.
