Emergency alarm system

All retirement housing properties are connected to an alarm system which is linked to a call centre and, in the case of retirement schemes, is also linked to the visiting support officer (when on duty). This is tested by the visiting support officer on a regular basis.

All of our properties are connected by the intercom to the 24-hour control centre, which monitors the schemes at all times. The Call Centre is provided by Tunstall Response and is staffed 24 hours a day by fully trained, professional staff who can summon help from family, friends or emergency services if needed.

24 hour cover is provided by a member of the SNH Retirement Housing Team 365 days a year.

The alarm system relies on electrical power and a dedicated telephone line and if it fails, it could prevent the alarm system activating. If this happens, contact the call centre on 0845 0530 866.
