At Grand Union, we’re proud to offer the K2 Academy – a centre of excellence for in-house learning and development.

Named after our head office, the Academy provides colleagues with engaging and exciting opportunities to learn, develop and progress their career.

From our apprentices, right through to senior leaders, the K2 Academy helps grow and nurture our talent, supporting colleagues to reach their full potential and thrive in the future world of work.

Included in the Academy is a Leadership Elevator, which provides bespoke training for colleagues at different managerial levels at Grand Union. This includes the below programmes:

  •   Aspire – for colleagues wanting to dip their toes into management
  •  Firm Foundations – for those undertaking their first supervisory role
  •  Operations Leaders – training for current managers and leaders, hosted with an external company, Byron

There are also numerous shorter courses, aimed at helping colleagues thrive in their current roles and preparing them for the future world of work and technology, on topics such as:

  • Emotional intelligence
  • Presentation skills
  • Mentoring
