SNH thank tenants for getting their hands dirty!

Tenants of Northamptonshire-based social housing provider, South Northants Homes (SNH), were delighted to be presented with a bouquet of flowers, as a ‘thank you’ for renovating an overgrown patch of weeds and grass on their estate.

Mr and Mrs Paintin, of Brafield, Northants, noticed the unsightly patch of grass after attending an SNH estate walkabout, and decided they wanted to do something about it. SNH agreed, and arranged for its maintenance team to cut down and spray the area. SNH also supplied a skip, and the residents then set about clearing the area and planting plants they had supplied.

SNH was very grateful for the residents’ hard work and last week presented Mr and Mrs Paintin with a bouquet of flowers. At the presentation, Mrs Paintin said:

“We have longed to tidy the area and we’re very pleased with the outcome. We were very surprised by the bouquet and the extra plants and we’d like to thank the housing association for the kind thought and hope that it will encourage more tenants to get involved with other projects.”

SNH, along with other local agencies, are conducting a year-long series of estate walkabouts to establish any issues or concerns tenants may have with their local area.
